For those of you wondering why I don’t post more about my
growing baby belly… it is because I STILL DON’T LOOK PREGNANT. Well, maybe a
little more than I did a month ago, but not really what I expected!
This is not a progression, all taken same morning... I guess it shows how well I can "hide" my little bitty bump. |
I’m headed into the 3rd trimester next week and I
feel pretty dang good. But man do I have heartburn. Doesn’t seem to matter what
I eat, or if I eat, it is my constant companion.
It is the rainy season in Laie (I know you all feel super sad
for us), we don’t mind it too much, but BLUEBELL refuses to drive in the rain
lately. As in she won’t start in the rain, or in the mornings (she takes after
me for sure). We just took her down to a mechanic for the SECOND time on Saturday.
We hope and pray that she gets over the winter blues. Although extremely
obnoxious, it has forced me to walk to and from work, sometimes multiple times
a day. So that is keeping me healthy and strong and on my feet for baby!
My wedding ring still fits, especially if I drink tons of
water through the day. That is my other main source of exercise, walking to and
from the bathroom at the back of the grocery store while at work. Jon and I just
finished a 6 week long birthing class. It was really informative, we learned a
TON and I was able to get enough info to make some informed decisions about how
I would like the birth to go. We were also forced to see more whoohas than I
thought I would see in a lifetime. For now I’m planning to do it al’ natural,
in a hospital. The closest hospital is 45 min away, so hopefully all goes well :-). Last baby girl was
measured she was exactly on schedule for her May 22nd due date and
in the 50th percentile. Could I be one of those lucky people who
have 6lb babies? Probably not, but all signs are pointing to something less
than 10 lbs. And anything less than 10 lbs is considered small in Polynesia!
Jon is already a great baby daddy and dotes on me All. The. Time.
He walks me to and from work most days and does all of the dishes and laundry. He
also makes sure I eat a good breakfast by cooking for me every morning. ALL
STAR HUBBY.
I am nesting like crazy, and organize in my spare time. My
focus this week is to figure out how to fit one of those glide rocker things in
our 500 SF apartment. Please wish me luck, it will take a miracle! We scored a free
piano a few months ago, Jon fixed it up and now we are debating on selling it
to make room… what are your thoughts? Piano or glide rocker? It might help to
know that the couch that comes with the apartment is disgusting and smells
funny and I HATE to sit on it yet alone the thought of having a baby near it. So that would mean feeding baby in bed. I’ll
probably also invest in a good couch cover here soon.
I’m trying to think of the questions that some gals answer
on their blogs about being pregnant. Uhhhh… my belly button is still “in” but
it has started to look a bit….I don’t know how to describe it… small? She is kicking and punching and doing all sorts of acrobatics in there! I'm also having weird dreams... the other night I dreamed that I was on an airplane and there was TONS of turbulance... but I only seemed to feel it in my belly. LOL
I’ve been feeling a little sluggish this week, but all and
all I have enough energy to do whatever I want to do. That first trimester
kicked my butt, so in comparison I feel REALLY, REALLY good and I am grateful
every day that I can get up and move around and that baby and I are happy and
healthy and growing and hopefully showing sometime soon!
