Provo UT to Mesa Verde AZ.
305 Miles
7 hours in the bus
(We go REALLY slow over mountains)
After getting to spend the morning with our freakishly
adorable new nieces, we were back on the road.
As sad as I was to leave the babies and all of the family and friends in
that area, it felt good to be driving again and planning the rest of our
adventure. Plus it was getting cold in UT, so we headed for warmer weather!
It snowed our last morning in UT. Totally took us and Bluebell by surprise! She hates the snow, just like her Mama! |
For the first time on our journey we started to drive through places
we had never been, and see things we had never seen. After a brief stop to sleep at a sleezy motel
thing in the middle of nowhere Thursday night, we went to one of the coolest
places ever: The Cliff Dwellings of Mesa Verde.
We were not planning to stay in Hotels along the way on this
trip (our car is a camper and all) but we also did not anticipate it to be 15
degrees at night through Southern UT and NM in the night. So we looked for super cheap
places to stay along the way, brought our own bedding, and tired not to touch
anything that would give us a disease. Like the bedspread.
My Hubby's co-worker calls this "indoor camping." ;)
