Day 34: Galveston Beach

On Monday we went to Galveston. I was never able to go there as a missionary, and was not expecting much because most of the people I talked to said that the beach there was gross.  They were wrong. The beach was nice… the sand got kinda murky in the water, and I guess if you are used to beaches in Mexico, then you might think this one was not up to par. But if you are used to beaches in Washington, then you think this one is rather nice.

We were going to go on a duck tour, but because it is November, and nobody else wanted to go on a Duck tour, it was canceled.  We ended up finding a boat tour that was absolutely blissful. We learned about Galveston, and we saw TONS of dolphins!  We did not manage to take any pictures of them mostly because the cameras on our phones are delayed and the dolphins were not waiting around.

In order to get our money’s worth for our parking spot, we ended up sharing a virgin strawberry daiquiri and getting validation so our parking was free… or the daiquiri was free whatever way you want to look at it.

We headed over to the Galleria Mall to check it out, we looked like beach bums, so nobody at the nice stores talked to us… but he mall is huge, and we wished we had more time to ice skate!
